The Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn Retirees' Widows' and Children’s Assistance Fund is given the solemn task of creating memorial funds for the families of Chicago Fire Department Line of Duty Deaths.

Chicago Firefighters Union Local 2 and the Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn Retirees', Widows' & Children's Assistance Fund established a memorial fund to benefit the family of Firefighter/Paramedic Daniel V. Capuano, TL34, who perished December 14, 2015, fighting a warehouse fire in the 9200 block of South Baltimore Ave. BMO Harris Bank partnered with the organizations to receive donations to the memorial fund.

On behalf of the family the EMWQ Retirees', Widows' & Children's Assistance Fund thanks you for the genrous outpouring of support for the famly. 100% of the donations recieved have beeb distributed tot he family.

Please keep Dan's widow, daughter, two sons and his entire family in your thoughts and prayers.

Daniel V. Capuano, CFD, age 43, Heroically. Beloved husband and best friend of Julie, nee Hauser; devoted father of Amanda, Andrew and Nicholas; loving son of Michael and Jacquelyn, nee Tassone; dearest brother of Michael (Katherine) and Patrick (Nicolette) Capuano; dearest son-in-law of Ronald and Jeanne Hauser; fond brother-in-law of Robert (Nicole) Hauser and Amy (Jeremy) Bolen; proud uncle of Alissa, Isabella, Delilah, Bodhi, Lucas, Madison, Hannah, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph and Justin; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his dog, Paco. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday 10:00 am at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, 7740 S. Western Ave., Chicago. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel. Member CFFU Local 2. Firefighter with Chicago and Evergreen Park Fire Departments. Off-ice coach for St. Jude Hockey Club. Active Queen of Martyrs Parishioner.

​The Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn Retirees', Widows' and Children's Assistance Fund mission is to provide financial assistance to the neediest widows and children of members of the Chicago Fire Department. The EMWQ Retirees' Widows' and Children’s Assistance Fund was granted tax exempt charitable status under IRS Code Section 501
(c)(3) on April 23, 2007. The tax exempt status allows all contributions to be used as a tax deduction by the donor. All program distributions made from the Fund are nontaxable to the recipient.

Donation acknowledgement forms will be generated for all contributions of $250 or more in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service guidelines. Individuals needing tax receipts will be required to use a check or donate online.
